A safety alert was issued in an all-campus email sent by Andrea Conner, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs on Tuesday afternoon. According to the message, a town resident who had previously received a permanent campus no-trespass order in 2013 may have been on campus and behaving erratically.

The email provided a name, a physical description and a photo. However, the S&B has removed these details in a copy of the message below.

The email also noted that his presence on campus did not constitute an active emergency, and that the email was sent as a precaution. This article will be updated if further information is released.

Campus community,

This individual, [REDACTED], is a resident of the town of Grinnell and was served a permanent campus no-trespass order in 2013. It has been reported that he recently may have violated that order by being on campus and behaving erratically. [REDACTED].

The campus should be advised that there is not an active emergency; this message is being sent as a precaution because we value the safety of our students, faculty, and staff.  [REDACTED] continues to not be welcome on campus, so if you see him on College property please do not approach him directly.  Instead, call Grinnell Police at 911 immediately, and then Campus Safety at 641.269.4600.  Thank you.
