Last Sunday, Nov. 14 Grinnell’s International Student Organization (ISO) hosted its annual Food Bazaar event. The event boasted an impressive 50 dishes from over 30 countries and regions. All 300 tickets were sold and Harris Center was packed with Grinnell faculty and students along with community members and host families. As in the past, the Grinnell dining staff tasted the dishes and selected three winning dishes to be served in the D-Hall the following semester. First place went to the pastels from Brazil cooked by John Franca ’17 and Roberta Silva ’18. In second place was the japchae from South Korea cooked by Da Hyeong Jang ’17 and Hanky Song ’17. The tiramisu from Italy made by Mariam Nadiradze ’19 and Sno Zhao ’19 finished in third place.
