Cross Country
Both the men’s and women’s teams participated in the Brissman/Lundeen Invite last Friday. The men placed 17th in the 39-team meet while the women finished 14th among 35 teams. Individually, Adam Dalton ’16 led the men’s team by finishing in 16th place in a field of 532 runners, with a time of 25:34.1. Anthony McLean ’17 concluded the race next for the team, placing 71st. For the women, Alosha Southern ’17 led the squad, placing 32nd among 498 runners, with a time of 23:13.5. Paulina Campbell ’16 and Diana Seer ’15 finished 65th and 79th, respectively. The women will travel to Waverly, Iowa to compete in the Wartburg College Invite while the men have a bye week.
Women’s Tennis
The women’s tennis team fell to Cornell College 5-4 last Sunday in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Shirlene Luk ’15, Hannah Cook ’18 and Brianna Wilson ’17 won their matches in singles plays. In the doubles division, Luk and Virginia Purcell ’17 took a victory. Grinnell’s record stands at 3-1 in Conference. The team will travel to Wisconsin this weekend to face St. Norbert College, Ripon College and Lawrence University.
