Women’s Soccer

The women’s soccer team suffered three losses last week. Grinnell lost to Macalester College in overtime last Friday 3-2. Elle Silverman ’15 and LilyRose Weiss ’18 recorded their first goals of the seaon. The team fell to  both Carleton College and Central College  1-0 on Sunday and Thursday, respectively. The women will play against Augsburg College tomorrow at 3 p.m. and Coe College on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Both matches are home games.

Women’s Tennis

The women’s tennis team split two matches last Saturday. The Pioneers triumphed against College of Saint Benedict 6-3, but lost to Luther College 6-3.  In the win, duos of Shirlene Luk ’15 and Virginia Purcell ’17 and Anhuskha Joshi ’18 and Julia Rumley ’16 picked up wins in their doubles matches. Luk, Purcell, Hannah Cook ’18 and Shanaz Daneshdoost ’17 claimed victories in the singles contests. Against Luther, Luk, Cook and Rumley won their respective singles matches.

The Pioneers will travel to Illinois to face Midwest Conferences in Knox College, Monmouth College and Illinois College.
