The S&B sent writer Zoe Fruchter and photographer Mahira Faran to ask students their favorite art experiences of the school year — be it visual arts, music or anything else.

“The Nnamdi Ogbonnaya set at Gardner was immaculate. He look what people were expecting and then threw it out the window and then it flew out the window and fell onto the ground and shattered into a million pieces and I watched it happen and it was beautiful.”
Jimmy Pentuic ’20

“I think it had to be in Faulconer Gallery with the art from India [“Many Visions, Many Versions: Art from Indigenous Communities in India”] … it was really cool seeing an art style that had been around in the country for thousands of years being used to depict modern images like the tsunami that hit really hard in 2004.”
Lilya Woodburn ’20
“When I went to the Louvre in Paris … that’s self-explanatory.”
Will Dubow ’21
“Curating the Haitian art exhibition last semester for the show this semester with my exhibition seminar.”

“Two of my friends are studio art majors and it’s their senior year, so just seeing them get to show off what they’ve done this year has been my coolest thing. Shout out to Helen Lant and Bea Herce-Hagiwara!”
