6:45 a.m.— Wake up and go for a run, forget to feed cats before I leave.
7:30 a.m.— Return to my apartment and open the door to complete destruction. Butler shredded a folder and Olive chewed a hole in the bag of bagels I left on my table during the short period of time I was gone.
7:32 a.m.— Feed cats. Clean up shredded paper and toss out two bagels with kitty teeth holes.
7:40 a.m.— Shower, dress for the day, make coffee and start a load of laundry.
8:00 a.m.— Catch up on last week’s episode of Project Runway while occasionally tossing toy mice for the kitties, move a load of laundry to the dryer and throw another load into the wash.
9:45 a.m.— Take the long walk from Loose to the JRC.
9:47 a.m.— Arrive at the JRC and respond to lounge request e-mails.
10:00 a.m.— Res-Life and Orientation meeting in the JRC.
12:00 p.m.— Return the backup on call phone to its home in the JRC.
12:15 p.m.— Lunch in the D-Hall … apparently I get hungry at the same time as the rest of campus. Longest lines ever.
1:00 p.m.— Respond to e-mails, take photos of damage to a window, set up Academic Advising office hours and create the Loosehead staff bulletin board in the Loose lobby.
2:00 p.m.— Track down the missing loggia carts, respond to more e-mails, re-discover my love for “Mumford and Sons” Pandora, complete a room inventory report, and let two students into their room.
3:00 p.m.— Submit three work orders, chat with two students, update the lounge calendar, schedule 12 one-on-ones with the Loosehead student staff and open another student’s room.
4:00 p.m.— Clean my apartment and realize that I had never thrown my second load of laundry into the dryer. Also remember that I had forgotten to “feed” my sourdough starter its daily dose of flour and to take my allergy medicine. Quickly remedy both.
5:00 p.m.— Meet with a student.
6:00 p.m.— Eat dinner in the D-Hall and realize how awesome crème puffs are and how much less awesome broccoli is when you attempt to eat it after crème puffs.
7:00 p.m.— Attend the Haines Pit and First meetings.
7:20 p.m.— Open the Haines trunk room.
7:30 p.m.— Open the Read trunk room and attempt to track down a missing shower caddy.
8:00 p.m.— Relax and watch last week’s episode of “True Blood.”
8:45 p.m.— Open the Loose trunk room.
9:00 p.m.— Attend the Loose Pit floor meeting and bathroom vote.
9:30 p.m.— Read several chapters in George R. R. Martin’s “A Dance with Dragons.”
10:15 p.m.— Sleep.
