6:08 a.m.—Wake up an hour and a half before my alarm. Slam face into pillow.
7:06 a.m.—Force myself out of bed. Sing “Riptide” in the shower.
8:00 a.m.—Answer emails and tell myself to work on my French essay.
8:19 a.m.—I start editing my essay.
8:20 a.m.—Well, that was a productive minute. Time to go to my English seminar.
9:50 a.m.—Go to the Bucksbaum practice rooms where I work on the Bach 5 cello suite. Double stops are killing me. Check periodically to make sure my fingers aren’t bleeding.
11:30 a.m.—Get lunch at the DHall. Eat chicken nuggets with a blend of honey mustard and sweet and sour sauce.
11:40 a.m.—Get seconds. Chicken nuggets call to me.
11:50 a.m.—Get thirds. They call really loudly.
12:30 p.m.—Tutor French. Freak out tutee by waving arms wildly while reciting poetry.
2:00 p.m.—Work on 1,000-piece puzzle—just the sky—in the Wellness Lounge, for the third time.
2:15 p.m.—Time for my French seminar—double majoring is a blast!
2:45 p.m.—French class discusses 18th-century porn, again.
4:08 p.m.—Watch Netflix and lament that my life is moving too slowly.
4:40 p.m.—Get email asking for a job interview during finals week. Lament that my life is moving too quickly.
4:42 p.m.—Remember that I have to turn in my essay by 5 p.m. Adrenaline rush!
5:00 p.m.—The respite of a completed essay.
5:01 p.m.—Read an email I overlooked earlier from the Registrar saying I’m short two credits for my French major.
5:02 p.m.—Stare at screen.
5:03 p.m.—Count my French classes on my hand.
5:04 p.m.—Frantically email my advisor.
5:20 p.m.—Eat dinner while panicking. It’s fried rice, again, because it’s really cheap and I have to use up all my eggs.
6:00 p.m.—Work on my final essay for English while listening to Disney songs.
7:00 p.m.—Nap time! I totally deserve it.
7.45 p.m.—Alarm goes off. . .
7.50 p.m.— . . .Alarm is still going off. . .
7:59 p.m.—Swear frantically and run to ARH.
8:02 p.m.—Arrive, calmly, at my TCC office hours.
9:30 p.m.—Check timesheets. It’s a blast.
9:47 p.m.—Receive email from advisor—turns out I just missed a step in OCS credit transfer. Graduation is once again secured!
10:00 p.m.—Walk home. I’m freezing. I promise myself that I will never live in the Midwest again.
10:05 p.m.—Schedule phone interview with company, located in the Midwest.
10:50 p.m.—Bedtime, because sleep is the only way I can handle this semester!
