On Friday, Nov. 16, The S&B reported that President Kington’s sabbatical would start on the first week after Thanksgiving. However, Kington may now be considering the possibility of canceling his sabbatical. The S&B reached out to Student Government Association (SGA), which was rumored to be one of the first organizations aware of the change.
“I think the long and short of what we were told is that, due to everything going on in his schedule at the moment, it just wasn’t in the cards. Aside from that, we weren’t really given any other information beyond that he might not take the sabbatical,” wrote Myles Becker ’19, SGA President, in an email to the S&B.
Kington’s Executive Assistant, Tammy Prusha, declined to provide a definitive answer to the question. Likewise, Head of Communication Lisa Lacher did not clarify the issue. The S&B will continue to update this article as we receive more definitive information.
