The Grinnell Regional Medical Center (GRMC) Auxiliary is holding a Holiday Tour of ten homes in and around Grinnell on Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1 that have been decorated by owners. The Auxiliary worked with 10 home owners to open their houses to the community for this event. The Auxiliary is made entirely of volunteers through UnityPoint health, and when brainstorming ideas to raise more money, the Auxiliary volunteers decided that having the Holiday Home Tour would be the best and most exciting way to go about it.
They then went out to ask homeowners who would be willing to participate in this event.
“Community members really enjoy visiting other homes to get ideas and inspiration for how to decorate their own homes,” Auxiliary board chair Donnette Ellis said. “Everyone has their own spin on how they like to decorate for the holiday season.”
Tickets will be on sale for $20 and can be bought at the Glass Box Gift Store as well as the Grinnell Chamber of Commerce. All money raised goes to presenting a $2,000 scholarship fund to a student pursuing a career in healthcare and to support patients.
