Moving across a crazy set of ladders, ramps, climbing ropes and more, Dance Ensemble/ACTivate’s spring semester performance, “Out-Foxing the Wolf: Nine A-Muse-ings on the Economy,” builds on their fall production, “Abundance & Scarcity.” The movement group further explores ideas and issues regarding the economy through metaphor and magical realism. The audience is given the power to determine the show’s order each night, with the intention of subverting narratives about the economy.
In an email to the S&B, Miller described the ensemble as “… a blend of dance and theatre juxtaposing movement with word, looking for the way that each provides subtext for the other.”
“Out-Foxing the Wolf” will be performed in Flanagan Theatre at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
