New Student Orientation (NSO) was a smooth success this year, running dozens of events and workshops to get first-year students aquainted with life at Grinnell.
“We feel really great about how NSO went this year,” said Andrea Conner, Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life & Orientation. “The new students seemed really engaged and well-connected; that signifies the start of a great year.”
First-years had a mix of optional and required programs to keep them occupied from the early morning until late at night.
“The Student Staff and other student leaders did a great job leading and organizing the various activities,” Conner said. “Some of our noteworthy successes were Pal-a-palooza, karaoke and craft night, and definitely our wellness-related events, such as Tai Chi, yoga, walks and bike rides.”
