The hit 90s show “Sex and the City” depicts the life of four twenty-something women living in Manhattan, chronicling their messy friend- and relationships. The main character and writer Carrie Bradshaw uses her and her friends’ stories as fodder for her column, dissecting how living in New York impacts their interactions with men, fashion taste and lifestyles.
As Saniya Desai, S&B podcast editor, was watching the show, it got her thinking: how would these characters act if they lived in Grinnell instead? How differently do we approach relationships, fashion and lifestyle in the pop culture hub of New York versus this small town in the middle of everywhere…but really nowhere?
