Men’s soccer

The men’s soccer team recorded two ties last weekend against Lake Forest College (1-1) and Carroll University (0-0). After Lake Forest scored in the 57th minute, Joey Brown ’15 answered back in the 70th minute to tie the game. On the next day, Isaiah Tyree ’15 saved 10 shots to finish the game in a scoreless tie.

Volleyball

The volleyball team fell to Ripon College 3-0 and Carroll University 3-2 in its away trip to Wisconsin. Claire Weidman ’15 and Natalie Duncombe ’15 led the team with combined 23 and 16, respectively, in the two games.

Women’s cross country

The women’s cross country team finished third among seven teams at last Saturday’s Wartburg College Dan Huston Invitational in Waverly, Iowa. Paulina Campbell ’16 led the team with an 11th-place finish while Diana Seer ’15 and Alosha Southern ’17 finished 18th and 21st, respectively.

Women’s  Soccer

The women’s soccer team’s winning streak against Conference opponents was snapped last weekend as it lost to Lake Forest College 2-1 and Carroll University 2-0. On Saturday, LilyRose Weiss ’18 scored in the second half to cut the lead in half, but the team failed to score again. Grinnell was held scoreless on the next day, despite taking six shots.

Women’s Tennis

The women’s tennis team triumphed in two of its three games in Wisconsin last weekend. After losing the first match against St. Norbert College 7-2, the team swept Ripon College 9-0 and beat Lawrence University 7-2 to finish the round trip.
