More than 200 Grinnellians filled Harris Concert Hall on Sept. 7, dressed in pinks, platforms and sparkles, ready to win big in Grinnell Weekend’s annual Drag Bingo.

Drag Bingo is a beloved annual event hosted by Weekend, and this year featured two popular drag queens, Cynthia Lee Fontaine and Honey Davenport, both former contestants on the Emmy Award-winning show “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

Drag Bingo has become a highlight of student-run events at Grinnell. Students flock to it for a multitude of reasons: to enjoy drag, dress up, win prizes, and, of course, to play bingo.

Cynthia Lee Fontaine and Honey Davenport kept the energy buzzing all night. The duo hosted multiple rounds of bingo, filled with lively performances and banter. Together, they wowed the audience with lip-synced renditions of songs like Chappell Roan’s “HOT TO GO!” and Beyoncé’s “HEATED.”

By the end of the night, some students departed Drag Bingo with prizes like dorm essentials, such as Beats headphones, and a Keurig set. All attendees, however, left Drag Bingo entertained by performances and the joy of Drag Bingo.

“[Drag Bingo is] one of the more entertaining things that’s [at] Grinnell if I’m being honest,” said Sophia Vikesland `27. “It’s a lot of fun.
